Painting in Britain 1500-1630

Exciting moment! I just received Painting in Britain 1500-1630: Production, Influences and Patronage, ed. Tarnya Cooper et al, (Oxford University Press and British Academy, 2015). A priceless resource for teaching, not least because it deals closely with painting as a material practice - a topic often absent from university curricula - it is ludicrously priced at £150. I have only been able to get hold of a copy because The British Art Journal's kind editor, Robin Simon, warmly agreed to my request to review it.
